Hello and welcome to our blog. We thought that a blog was a nice informal way of keeping our customers up to date with our latest news, events and menus.

Paul Underhill and his team are now managing The Carp and inspite of many a rumour, Lucy and Jason still co-own and have not done a runner! One of the most exciting developments over the past few months is the launch of the bed and breakfast rooms. There are double rooms available from £70 per night.

As it's now almost November, we are looking forward to rolling out our traditional Christmas Fayre - we are booking up very quickly, so please give Paul a ring on 01435 873294 to reserve your table.

Paul and his team have been working very hard behind the scenes sourcing exciting new suppliers for a new speciality menu - Watch this space!

Also, The Carp are very excited about their new pizza take out service. Mayfield is a lovely village, however, we are short on take out options. Paul identified this need and the pizzas are selling like, well, hot cakes.
